DU increases 253 seats for session 2017-18

The Dhaka University authorities have increased 253 seats for undergraduate courses for session 2017-18.

DU vice chancellor AAMS Arefin Siddique disclosed it while inaugurating online process for admission test on Monday.

The online registration process will remain open till 10:00pm on 29 August. The deadline for depositing admission fees at the banks is to end on 30 August.

The entrance test fee remains 350 this year, too.

The VC said the seats for undergraduate courses were increased to 7,053 for session 2017-18. The number of seats was 6,800 in the last year.

The Science Faculty under ‘Ka (A)’ unit has 1,765 seats, the Arts Faculty under ‘Kha (B)’ unit 2,363 seats, the Business Faculty under ‘Ga (C)’ unit 1,250, the Social Science Faculty under ‘Gha (D)’ unit 1,540 and the Fine Arts Faculty under ‘Cha’ unit 135.
